Rev Rachel Alexander, the Rector of Snettisham St Mary’s, was ordained in Norwich Cathedral, in 1999. Rachel is married to Noel and they have four children and seven grandchildren. Apart from four years in Loughborough they have spent the last 32 years in Norfolk.

I am delighted to be the Rector of Snettisham, the church is an eye-catching, 14 century building with a striking spire and our prayer is that you will know the peace and presence of God there when you visit. We call it a place for all and have a variety of worship services which we hope you will enjoy.

Eric moved to Norfolk in 2017 from Surrey where he worked in the Motor Industry and where he was a church warden. Eric’s responsibility at St Mary’s is as chair of the Spire and oversees mission giving.

Eric is married and supported by his wife Marie they have a son and daughter and three grandchildren, is a keen gardener and walker and is always busy doing things in his home.

Sarah comes from a farming family and, as a child, lived in Leicestershire, spending the summer in Norfolk. After school and college she worked in the company secretariat of a financial futures exchange in London for five years, before coming back to Norfolk to work with her Father on the family farm.

At St Mary’s she is Lay Chair of the PCC and organises children’s activities with Andy , including a pop-up Sunday School.  Sarah enjoys taking part in and hosting social events for the Church, and is a keen tennis player.

She has a special interest in prayer.

Andy moved to Snettisham in 2006 with his wife Ali. He has two daughters who were both Christened at St. Marys. He works as a recruitment consultant for several local businesses and supports local people into employment. He is chair of governors at the village primary school and local high school. He plays an active role in encouraging local families to get involved in both church and village events and activities but his prime role within the church is as our Safeguarding Officer”
Trevor has been in Snettisham for over 30 years and runs Snettisham Park, a local visitor attraction very close to the church. He has also spent some time as a volunteer in Sierra Leone.

Trevor is the Fabric Officer but also organises our Live Nativity each year and is married to Colleen. They have a son, Ethan.

Fran came from Kettering and has been part of St Mary’s for nearly three years. Following the death of his wife three years ago, his daughter Debbie moved to Norfolk to be with him and they are both active members of St Mary’s.

Fran’s special responsibility is as Health and Safety Officer and his background within the building industry has proved very useful in overseeing small maintenance work at the church.

Marian Abramovich is passionate about being Welsh and came to Norfolk in 1975. Originally a professional musician, her career since being in Norfolk has been managing entrepreneurial businesses. She retired in 2006 and since that time has spent all her time on church affairs. She is church warden, chair of The Friends of St Mary’s and resident organist. Marian is married to Clive and she has three sons and six grandchildren. Her dream is in further bringing the community together by the completion of The Spire Project and at the same time bringing more people into faith.
Bryan is our amazing treasurer who has to cope with so many various accounts and all our inabilities to do things correctly. We give him lots of headaches but he always bounces back smiling….. but not in his PCC pic!
Bryan has always worked in accounts from Scotland to the Midlands before settling in Norfolk with his wife Jenny three years ago.
